The Reagan Shorts (2015)

Editor (dir. Pacho Velez)

The Reagan Shorts (2015-2017) is a series of short films, drawn from the same government video archive as The Reagan Show, focusing on individual vignettes concerning Reagan's public relations hiccups: the lighting of the national Christmas tree, accepting a Thanksgiving turkey from turkey farmers, an interview about Camp David with Maryland public television, and a grilling from Soviet journalists on the eve of the Moscow Summit.

They premiered internationally at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (January 2015) before playing at True/False Film Fest (March 2015), Maryland Film Festival (May 2015), Sydney Film Festival (June 2015), and BAMcinemafest (June 2015). They won a Live Action Short Special Mention for Nonfiction Filmmaking at AFI Fest (November 2015).
